By default, all surveys created since the 8th of November 2017 by users on our paid plans , and 17th of August 2018 for other users, are secured using https / SSL by default. This helps to ensure the privacy of your respondents by transferring data over an encrypted connection. If you have existing surveys that you’d like to upgrade to SSL, doing so is quick and easy – you can do so in bulk, or for individual surveys.
For all surveys in bulk:
- In the Dashboard, hover over Account and click on My Account
- In the menu on the left, click on Preferences
- Under Account Actions, click on Secure All Surveys
- In the pop-up box click OK
- A box will pop-up under Account Actions to inform what action has been taken
For an individual survey:
- In My Surveys open the selected survey
- Click on Settings in the white navigation bar, and choose Security from the menu on the left
- Under SSL Encryption click on the greyed out Off button to turn the SSL Encryption On. It’s also possible to remove SSL Encryption from a survey, regardless of creation date, by clicking on the On button to turn the SSL Encryption Off
Changing a survey to use https / SSL will change the URL of the survey slightly. This should not cause issues, but it's a good idea to check that any links to the survey (or surveys) still work
