Editing the end of a Survey

You can control what a respondent will see when they finish a survey. This can be done in “survey settings” or via the “Link settings” for a tracking link.

Editing via Survey Settings

Changes made via this method will only affect users arriving via the "Default Web Link" tracking link.

To do this, open the survey from “My Surveys”, then click “Settings” on the white option bar.

Once the settings have loaded, click “Finish” from the grey menu on the left.

There are a number of options on this page, here’s what they do:

Final Page Text

All respondents who complete a survey (except disqualifications) will see the page that you can edit here. The two boxes allow you to edit the Heading and page content. The page content can be editing using the WYSIWYG editor or HTML can be added via the “source” button.

Auto Redirect

Clicking the checkbox will activate the automatic redirect function.

On arrival at the final page, the respondent will be redirected to the URL defined in in the “Address (URL)” box. The URL can be anything, even the tracking link for the survey if you want the survey to loop back to the start once it's complete. (useful for where the survey is on a kiosk or similar situations where a single physical device will be collecting a lot of responses.)

You can set a delay for how long the final page will wait before redirecting by entering a value into the “Jump After” box.

Disqualify Auto Redirect

If users are disqualified from the survey via Skip Logic, you can define a target URL for that situation. This will be loaded after the message set on the disqualified page.

Print Response Feature

Clicking the checkbox will activate a feature where respondents can print their survey response after completion. The text on the button can be edited via the box.

Editing via a Tracking Link

Changes made via this method will only apply to respondents visiting the survey via the chosen tracking link.

Open the Survey in “My Surveys

Click “Collect” from the orange bar

Open the link settings by clicking on the tracking link name, or the tools icon that appears when the tracking link area is under the mouse pointer.

Click “Link Settings

There are a number of options on this box. The final three are the ones we’re interested in.

Survey Completion Redirect

Clicking the checkbox will activate the automatic redirect function.

On arrival at the final page, the respondent will be redirected to the URL defined in in the “Address (URL)” box. The URL can be anything, even the tracking link for the survey if you want the survey to loop back to the start.

You can set a delay for how long the final page will wait before redirecting by entering a value into the “Timeout” box.

Survey Disqualification Redirect

If users are disqualified from the survey via Skip Logic, you can define a target URL for that situation. This will be loaded after the message set on the disqualified page.

You can set a delay for how long the final page will wait before redirecting by entering a value into the “Timeout” box.

Print Response Feature

Clicking the checkbox will activate a feature where respondents can print their survey response after completion.
