SSL Encryption

Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encrypts information sent over the internet to protect respondents' privacy. Adding SSL to your survey will keep private information secure.

Turning on SSL Encryption

To activate SSL Encryption on a survey:

  1. Go to the Collect page of your survey.
  2. Click on the Tracking Link Name that you wish to enable the feature on.
  3. In the top left of the pop-up box, select Link Settings.
  4. Check the SSL Encryption tick box.
  5. Click Save Changes in the bottom left corner to confirm.

Insecure Element Errors.

If, when designing your survey, you use images or other elements that are not hosted on an SSL-enabled server, respondents may see warnings about "Insecure Elements" on the page being blocked when they access an SSL-enabled survey. To fix this issue, either activate SSL on the server that is hosting these elements, or re-host them in your File Library.
