The character limit for messages
Just like sending an SMS from your phone, one SMS fragment is 160 characters. You can send an extended SMS which will use additional credits up to a maximum of 612 characters.
- Up to 160 characters = 1 credit
- Up to 306 characters = 2 credits
- Up to 459 characters = 3 credits
- Up to 612 characters = 4 credits
The character limit for messages ft. Unicode characters (e.g. emojis)
The character limit is reduced to 70 characters per fragment for messages featuring Unicode characters, such as emojis, or Arabic or Chinese characters.
- Up to 70 credits = 1 credit
- Up to 126 credits = 2 credits
- Up to 189 credits = 3 credits
- Up to 252 credits = 4 credits
