Signing Up and Upgrading

The process to either sign up for a SmartSurvey account or upgrade your account takes just a few minutes.

Signing Up to SmartSurvey

To use SmartSurvey, you’ll need to create a free account regardless of which plan you intend to subscribe to.

Click the orange Start for Free button that appears at the top-right of every page on our website, or click the same button on the centre of our home page.

From here, follow the signup process to set up your account:

  1. On the 'How will you be using SmartSurvey?' page, click Personal, Not-for-Profit, Government, Academic, or Business
  2. Enter your details into the signup form
  3. We will need to verify your email address. to do this, we will send an email to that address with a specific link in it, which you need to click to confirm the verification. If the email has not arrived after 24 hours, contact support.
  4. Once the account is verified, click the green Login button to log in to your account

When you first sign up, you’ll be provided with a free SmartSurvey account. In order to upgrade and enjoy increased functionality, follow the steps below.

Upgrading Your SmartSurvey Account

Upgrading your account provides access to increased capacity and additional features. You’ll have the opportunity to review the plans and pricing before you pay.

Log into your account, and you’ll be taken to your Dashboard. Alternatively, you can jump directly to the Dashboard via

You will find the Upgrade button in the lower-right of the My Account box.

See below for the upgrade process:

  1. Click Upgrade 
  2. You’ll be presented with all of our price plans. Use the white tabs at the top of the page to switch between viewing individual plans and team plans
  3. Click the Upgrade button on the plan you’ve chosen (or the Get in Touch button to learn about Enterprise Plus plans)

  4. In the pop-up window fill in your personal information and billing data, and check the payment summary
  5. When you’re ready to upgrade, click Make Payment 

If you choose Enterprise Plus, you’ll be prompted to get in touch with the SmartSurvey team before making payment
